Board Members

Joon Yang

Joon is the co-Founder and current President of RUN, overseeing the work of the three branches of the organization (US, Korea, and Uganda). After his deployment to Lebanon as a UN Peacekeeper and discharge as sergeant from the South Korean Army, he is continuing his studies at Harvard University in Computer Science.

Haley Baker

Haley has been on the board of RUN for three years, including taking on the role of President for 2015-2017. Having graduated from Harvard University in 2017, she is beginning to teach for Teach for America in the fall of 2017 and has scaled back her responsibilities with RUN.

Anke Mostmans

Anke graduated in September 2016 from the University of Antwerp with a degree in socioeconomics. Working at RUN, she combines her interests in business and social challenges by focusing on sustainability and financial viability of the orphanage.

Spencer Dunleavy

Spencer joined RUN as a board member in the summer of 2014. Selected as 2017 U.S. Rhodes Scholar, Spencer hopes to take his education from Harvard, Oxford, and Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons to provide for patients from disadvantaged populations in his own community and around the world.

RUN - United States

David Pfeifer

David became a member of the RUN team in early 2017. Serving as Director of Events, he plans and facilitates fundraisers that help to financially support the orphanage and its staff. At Harvard, David is a senior perusing a degree in Psychology with a secondary in Economics. He is a diver on the Men’s Swimming and Diving team who enjoys dancing in his free time. 

Greg Rudolph

Greg became a member of the RUN team in 2017. He helped lead the execution of the Million Pound Challenge, and he plans to help organize events at Harvard in the future. Outside of RUN, Greg is a proctor and teacher at Harvard University, working with undergraduates in Chemistry and to transition from high school to college.

RUN - Uganda

Betty Birungi Kadondi

Betty is the Director of the Orphanage. She went to Makerere University Business School, focusing on Accounting and Business Management. She received her teaching certification through the Institute of Teacher's Education at Kyambogo. 

Philex Ongweni

Philex assists Betty in running the Orphanage and Academy. His parents died when he was young, and as a result, he became extremely involved in running our institution upon finishing his education at Fairway High School.

 

 

Brian Mungholo

Brian joined RUN as a staff member in early 2015 and helps in the Orphanage to this day. He is currently taking classes at the Teachers' Training College to get his certification to teach. He plans to help tutor our children outside of classes to make sure they are academically supported!

 

RUN - Korea

Jeewon Sa

A graduating senior at Korea University, Jeewon is currently pursuing a joint degree in International Studies and Median and Communications with a focus on public relations. With RUN, she will head the public relations content

Sam Ju

Sam joined RUN in the summer of 2017. At UT Austin, Sam is currently pursuing a degree in chemical engineering with a focus on biomedical engineering. Sam hopes to provide better healthcare and education for children around the world. 

SeonKee Kim

SeonKee joined RUN as a KRUN (Korea RUN Task Force) member in the summer of 2017. He is pursuing a joint degree in English Literature and Management at Tsinghua University, China. During the deployment to Lebanon as a UN Peacekeeper, he decided to dedicate himself for the people in need around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums and learning foreign languages.

Siyeon Jin

Siyeon is the Director of Fundraising for the Korean branch of RUN. She is currently pursuing a degree in medicine at Seoul National University. Her hope is to provide the children with a safe and caring environment in which they can freely pursue their dreams.
